We build more than houses.  The giant dragon talons was an unusual request, but once hand carved, polished and placed high above, it became the most exciting element of the décor!  Another interesting detail hand carved by the talented owner of Stonehenge, Tom Salter!  Combining wrought iron and heavy wood timbers make an impressive staircase and balcony.  A project in the works as seen here ~ each wood detail is hand carved, joinery properly fitted then put together before final assembly on the job site.  Stonehenge Building had the creative answer to dress up the exposed joinery on a hillside home. The addition of these hand carved accents made all the difference!  A client requested that Tom feature this French family heirloom in their new home. Tom created a custom newel post when he installed the new staircase to hold this precious antique.  Stonehenge turned a non-descript ceiling into the main feature using old fashioned bead board stained and installed piece-by-piece for real authenticity. |
